Describe your volunteer activities in detail.
I picked up extreme amounts of trash from the surrounding area and placed the trash in plastic bags.
What were your accomplishments?
I was able to bring in four bags of trash containing plastic wrappers, clothes, bed comforters, etc. as well as a tire, a chair, and two rusty grocery baskets with the help of my friends in my group.
What did you learn?
I have learned that the Earth's land and beauty is constantly being harmed and destroyed by citizens selfish acts of throwing away there unwanted belongings onto the Earth's surface instead of using a trash can and recycling bin for that matter. But I have learned that because people such as myself and my peers who were present at the Temescal Cleanup, the Earth then has a chance to become lively once again and forever prosper. People may begin to destroy the Earth, but that's when people like ourselves defend it.

Other Notes
I am glad I was given this amazing opportunity to help and provide for the environment.

Greentorch photoluminescent exit signs help the environment by using no electricity, no batteries, and last longer than other self-luminous exit signs. Gambassa's "Energy efficiency and exit signs" project curriculum teaches students how to generate income by using available utility retrofit rebate programs to replace incandescent exit signs. Earn while you learn.
