4 hours
Describe your volunteer activities in detail.
To help clear trash and multiple types of debris from the surrounding area with the appropriate supplies and equipment that was provided. I also toted, heaved, and dragged many types of large discarded material for many yards and then place them in large garbage bins.
What were your accomplishments?
I was able to fill five large plastic bags up with trash, as well as carry 5 gallon buckets, about three tires, two bike and one car tire, and the remnants of a previous trash-collecting expedition. I additionally i achieved an inner sense of being one with the environment and doing something that was crucial to the well-being and longevity of my community.
What did you learn?
I learned that people often disregard the suffering of the Earth's many species and continuously do not practice the idea of safe garbage disposal. In order to right their wrongs, it takes a few hundred caring individuals to come together with the goal of cleaning up various types of pollution, making their community a much better place, and living truly sustainable lifestyles, in mind. Lastly i was introduced to the catchy slogan "Only Rain Down The Storm Drain" used by the Corona Department of Water and Power, which highly influenced me, shows a plain and simple prerequisite that can prevent an ample amount of environmental degradation and long hard hours of community intervention.

Greentorch photoluminescent exit signs help the environment by using no electricity, no batteries, and last longer than other self-luminous exit signs. Gambassa's "Energy efficiency and exit signs" project curriculum teaches students how to generate income by using available utility retrofit rebate programs to replace incandescent exit signs. Earn while you learn.
