What related problem/issue will you present?
The problems are the excessive production of plastic waste in the U.S. and the rest of the world.
What supporting facts characterize the problem?
Pollution caused from toxic chemicals the seap out of water bottles in landfills, contaminating groundwater. Oceans are also filling up with plastic litter. 40 million bottles go into U.S. landfills daily! It takes over 1,000 years for plastic to biodegrade.
What solution will you offer?
Repurpose plastic in order to reduce the waste that enters the environment and landfills.
What action or actions do you want people to take as a result of your lesson?
Repurpose plastic. Get creative so that you don't produce as much waste and get more use out of the material you buy.
