Describe (in detail) what you presented on EARTH Day. Be sure to describe your "hook," your activity, and your "wrap up" in enough detail that next year's groups will be able to use it and improve upon it.
For my presentation i brought awareness to the fact of the over consumption in landfills. I asked the children where they thought there trash went after they threw it away. After they answered I went into detail on why landfills are bad for the environment. After they were informed i talked to them about other options beside just throwing away trash. I desplayed compost from our schools compost machine and talked about what it is and how it helps the environment. Then i asked easy environmetally friendly questions about composting. And finally i closed my presentation.
Please describe in detail suggestions you have for improving your presentation if it were to be done in the future.
To inprove my presentation i could have increased the information i gave to the children. And go into depth more with playing games with the kids.
Greentorch photoluminescent exit signs help the environment by using no electricity, no batteries, and last longer than other self-luminous exit signs. Gambassa's "Energy efficiency and exit signs" project curriculum teaches students how to generate income by using available utility retrofit rebate programs to replace incandescent exit signs. Earn while you learn.
